Stolen Domain Causes Confused Buying Frenzy
Site now offers dental insurance and so much more

Readers of the online political analysis journal Witty Tirade.com were surprised last week to find the insightful, profanity-peppered content they know and love replaced by a marketing tool.

"I didn't know what I was seeing," states Mary Ellison, stay-at-home mom. "I was expecting something witty about Libertarians or some amusing, skewed look into everyday life." What she found was far more shocking-advertisements disguised as a search tool. "I've never seen such a thing. Witty Tirade was suddenly offering me things I never knew I wanted, like smoking cessation videos, online gambling and debt consolidation. I started ordering immediately."

Ellison reports vast confusion at the loss of "Picture of the Week" and other humorous features at which she has become accustomed to looking while ignoring her children.

"At first I thought it was a witty joke created by the owner of the site to point out something interesting about online advertising," remembers Ellison. "Then when I realized none of the products I was buying were particularly funny, I got mad thinking he was trying to make a quick buck off of me."

But what happened was much more sinister than an attempt to make a quick buck. The domain registration for Witty Tirade dot com had expired and was quickly bought up by an online advertising firm with a long and illustrious history of swiping registrations that have lapsed in an attempt to make a quick buck.

When you ask Witty Tirade owner/creator/writer/editor/misfit Justin Cass about the company and their practices, his response is simple, "Fucking fuck fucks, all of them! Hideous fucking maggots!" When asked about his case in particular, he is much more specific. "I hope they die in an endless wave of unimaginable pain and suffering, those fucking fuck fucks."

Cass has rebounded from his untimely eviction to find a new home in the less prestigious "dot net" neighborhood of the web. "Witty Tirade dot net signifies a new era for the site," says Cass, choking back tears. "A much less naive era, one filled with spite and hate at the inequities of the world, especially the online world."
