Submission Guidlines and Policy

US Press News accepts submissions in the forms of:

News Satire

Articles should be written in a journalistic style. Subjects that concern current news are always in demand. Ideas that are more "timeless" in nature are plenty acceptable but should be more polished. We always seem to be hurting for sports articles.

If you have simultaneously submitted the work to other websites please have the courtesy to tell us up front.

Your work will most likely be edited. You will be shown a proof prior to publication whenver possible. If being edited is something that you cannot tolerate then you should start your own site ;)

Please include in your submission: Headline, "sub-headline", Byline, preferred author name (real name or pen name), a web address for your name to link to (if you have something else to promote), and pictures or picture ideas for the article if you have any.

Please send articles in plain text, Rich Text Format (.rtf), Microsoft Word, or HTML formats.

Opinion/Letters to the Editor

Opinion pieces can be any style you like. Letters to the Editor can be complaints, compliments or neither.

Original Cartoons

Cartoonists contact us about seeing your original work on US Press News. We are interested in all kinds of cartoons, especially political cartoons.

Photo Manipulation

Are you a photoshopper? We suck at it. You can help. Submit your original work or test your skills as a minute man who works on the latest breaking news.
